UN-Habitat's Resource Mobilisation Strategy aims to secure ample, foreseeable, adaptable, and enduring funding to fulfill the objectives outlined in the country strategy plan. Its goal is to prioritize outcomes, streamline operations, ensure transparency, and uphold accountability to optimize the yields on grants and investments.
Resource mobilization involves collaborative endeavors among various UN-Habitat offices. Regional and national offices primarily seek funding for technical collaboration projects in specific fields, while Headquarters focus on securing funds for global standard programs. This initiative is managed and facilitated by the Donor Relations and Resource Strategic Partnerships Unit within the External Relations, Strategy, Knowledge, and Innovation Division. Furthermore, a donor focal points system is established to maintain consistent communication with development partners.
